Horizon undertake works abroad

A team of engineers from Horizon Specialist Contracting's Steeplejack division have recently travelled overseas to complete a range of repair works to the chimney, horizontal flues and GSC units located at a large power station. This contract started in July 2016, and is expected to last around 3 months.

Horizon's experienced steeplejack team are carrying out the classification A remedial works, which were highlighted in our report, following the inspections in September 2015. This involves replacing the corroded steelwork, carrying out strengthening works, replacing walkway, handrails, and associated steelwork including any necessary flooring panels, and also removing all of the redundant steelwork from the GSC unit. These works have been based on a four man specialist team working on a three week rotating programme.

Horizon Specialist Contracting have been providing a range of 'Working at Height' specialist services for over two decades, in the UK and worldwide. This project reinforces Horizon's relationship with our long standing client, and also illustrates the growing demand for our services internationally, as well as here in the UK.
